Join us for a special outdoor showing of the documentary titled Deep Rising. Directed by Nyon-based filmmaker Matthieu Rytz, Deep Rising traces several decades of manipulations by greedy corporations, punctuated by breathtaking images of deep-sea organisms.
From the Atacama Desert to Papua New Guinea and through the City and Shenzhen, the film exposes the industrial sector’s hypocrisy in the face of the climate crisis, the illusory promises of electrification, and the privatization of this common heritage of humanity. It confronts us with an ethical and philosophical dilemma: Can we sacrifice the last ecosystem untouched by human presence in the name of our survival?
