This season, the Town has four outdoor rinks (weather permitting), one at Rugby Park, one at George Booth Park, one at Strathearn Park and one at Paula Cordeau Park. 

General info for all rinks

  1. During maintenance or ice preparation, the rinks will be closed.
  2. The use of a helmet, gloves and neck guard is recommended.
  3. Rinks must only be used during opening hours (7 a.m. to 9 p.m.) 
  4. Anyone in violation of the current rules is subject to a fine.
  5. An area near the rink will be set up to put on your skates.
  6. Ice rinks can only be flooded effectively when temperatures reach −8 °C or colder.

 Skating Rinks (with no hockey boards)

  • Not permitted: Tag, hockey, etc.

Hockey Rinks (with boards)

  • Hockey-related activities are permitted on the hockey ice surfaces
  • Not permitted: Tournaments, league activities or any competitions.

Rink conditions

Rink conditions are only updated from Monday to Friday.

Please note that warm weather softens the ice during the day making watering more difficult.
