Not only do diet and nutrition play key roles in our body functions, but they also have significant effects on our mood and mental well-being. We tend to focus on food tastes and search for superfoods. Here’s the thing: it is the digestive system that matters most. Without digestion, ingested food becomes waste, called stool. Can food improve our brain health? How does food relate to our mental well-being? Sounds silly, but science says so.
