The Town of Montreal West is pleased to announce the September 23 signing of a new collective agreement with the Syndicat des cols bleus regroupés de Montréal (SCFP section 301), covering the period from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2028. This agreement marks an important milestone in maintaining a harmonious and collaborative work environment within the Town of Montreal West.
The tentative agreement was approved by employees during a vote held in June, reflecting the commitment and confidence of both parties in the negotiation process. The collective agreement was ratified by Town Council on June 30, 2025.
“This new collective agreement is the result of respectful and constructive discussions. It allows us to continue providing exemplary services to our residents while ensuring our employees benefit from motivating and competitive working conditions,” said Beny Masella, Mayor of the Town of Montreal West.
Highlights of the new agreement include
- Salary increases :

- January 1, 2024 : 4,15 %;

- January 1, 2025 : 3,85 %;

- January 1, 2026 : 2,95 %;

- As of January 1, 2027, hourly rates will be increased by a percentage equivalent to the Montreal CPI for the previous year, with a minimum increase of 2,5% and a maximum of 3,5%.
- As of January 1, 2028, hourly rates will be increased by a percentage equivalent to the Montreal CPI for the previous year, with a minimum increase of 2,5% and a maximum of 3,5%.
- A restructuring of daily assignments and of allocated overtime.
- A 30-month pilot project introducing a new category of part-time employees in the Recreation Department
The Town of Montreal West wishes to thank everyone involved in these negotiations, which led to an agreement that benefits all parties.
