Quebec has announced a postponement of at least one year for residential pool owners to comply with the Residential Pool Safety Act, without risk of fines.
This decision was made public by Municipal Affairs Minister, Geneviève Guilbaut, on September 19th, 2025, less than 2 weeks before the original September 30, 2025 deadline.
The Town encourages all affected residents to take advantage of this extension by completing the necessary corrective measures to ensure their pool meets the new safety regulations by the revised deadline.
