Town Alerts

Stay informed in an emergency!

In the event of a major emergency, the Town’s emergency alert system ensures you receive important information quickly and directly.

As of May 27, 2026, this new system provided by Blanko replaces CodeRED, and improves how we communicate with residents when it matters most.

In addition to emergency alerts, you can also choose to receive updates on topics that interest you, including:

• Snow removal (Parking restrictions and snow removal operations)
• Important notices (Property tax payment deadlines, water tax deadlines, etc.)
• Waste collections (Postponed pickups, schedule changes, reminders about special collections, etc.)
• Construction and roadwork (Repairs, temporary closures, and other disruptions)
• Democratic life (Council meetings, public consultation, and citizen participation)
• Parks and municipal buildings (Closing times of municipal buildings, extensions of the swimming pool opening hours, etc.)

Emergency alerts are enabled by default for every user and cannot be disabled.

All active alerts are also available online at alerts.montreal-west.ca.

Registration is free and only takes a few minutes.

Create your account

1. Create your account on alerts.montreal-west.ca
2. Activate your account by confirming your email address and/or phone number
3. Choose the types of alerts and communication channels you want to receive

Once registered, you can update your information and preferences at any time:

• Categories of alerts you wish to receive
• Preferred communication methods
• Language of communications

Updating your information

Once you are registered, it is your responsibility to keep your contact information up to date. You can do so by following these steps:

1. Log in to your account by clicking Login in the top right corner
2. Once logged in, click on My Profile
3. Update your information and click Save
