August 19 update: We are pleased to share that repairs to the rink’s refrigeration system have now been completed. The ice surface has been painted and is currently being flooded in preparation for reopening.
We expect the rink to reopen on Saturday, August 22. The public skating schedule will be posted on our website in the coming days.

Due to an unexpected mechanical issue, the Steve and Rob Michelin Rink is temporarily closed until further notice. We would like to inform residents that all activities, rentals, and scheduled programming at the rink have been cancelled while the issue is being addressed.
Please note that the rest of the facility remains open to the public, and all regular programming including the pool, gymnasium, and classes, is continuing as usual.
A mechanical failure in the refrigeration system has caused the rink temperature to rise, making it impossible to maintain safe and reliable ice conditions. As a result, the rink must remain closed while the necessary corrective work is completed.
This situation is being treated as a priority. Our goal is to reopen the rink as soon as possible, however, the timeline depends on the delivery and installation of the replacement equipment, so we cannot confirm a reopening date at this time.
Furthermore, the pool has been heated using energy recovered from the rink’s cooling system. As we evaluate alternative heating solutions, solar covers will be used to help retain heat overnight and minimize heat loss.
We understand that the ice rink is an important space for residents, community activities, and scheduled programming, and we recognize that this closure is frustrating and disappointing. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore the facility and will share updates as soon as more information becomes available.
