Emergency services are going door to door in areas without power to make sure residents are safe and to guide them to warming centres if needed.
The CIUSSS are also reaching out directly to people who receive home care.
Please note that the emergency shelter at Centre communautaire de loisir de la Côte-des-Neiges is open all day today, at 5347, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges.

Power is gradually being restored in the Town’s north sector. Town Hall will remain open to residents until 10 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, or until power restoration is complete.
If the power outage continues overnight, a shuttle service to the emergency shelter at Centre communautaire de loisir de la Côte-des-Neiges, located at 5347, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, will be provided from the Montreal West Town Hall. Residents will also be able to park their vehicles there overnight.

Hydro-Quebec has announced that the ongoing power outage will last until noon on January 25. In response, Town Hall will open its doors to residents starting at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, providing a warm space to rest and recharge devices. A microwave will be available.
The Town is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as needed to keep residents informed.

A power outage continues to affect the northern sector of the Town.
The Montreal Agglomeration, in collaboration with the Red Cross, will open an emergency shelter at the Centre communautaire de loisir de la Côte-des-Neiges, located at 5347, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, starting at 10:00 p.m.
- Residents affected by the power outage who need a warm place to stay for the night are invited to go to the shelter
- Snacks and beds will be available.
- Those planning to stay are encouraged to bring essential personal items, including medications, medical supplies, phone chargers, toiletries, and any items needed for personal comfort.
Residents are also encouraged to temporarily stay with family members, relatives, or friends while waiting for the electricity to be restored.
Shuttle service
The Town of Montreal West was just informed by the Centre de coordination des mesures d’urgence (CCMU) that transportation to the shelter is available from the Aquatic and Community Centre in CSL (5794 Parkhaven Ave.) parking lot. You can leave your vehicle at the ACC and ride a van for free organized by the City.
