The Age-Friendly Municipality Committee is once again organizing a Caring Neighbourhood Day in the fall on the morning of Saturday October 24.
Thanks to neighbouring Loyola High School students, as well as local Montreal West residents, volunteers will be dispatched around town to help older neighbours with their outdoor fall chores, e.g. raking and bagging of leaves, storing of patio furniture etc.
To help make this important initiative a success, we are looking for adult volunteers who can dedicate 3 to 4 hours on the morning of October 24 to supervise a team of three students. If you are someone in need of assistance or available to help, or would like more information, please contact the Recreation Department at 514-484-6186 or through the Contact Us webform. Volunteers will be matched with neighbours in need.
