The Town of Montreal West is proud to announce the signing of the new collective agreement for white-collar employees with the Syndicat des fonctionnaires municipaux de Montréal (local 429) on October 29, 2025. This agreement is retroactive to January 1, 2023 and will be in effect until December 31, 2027. The result of constructive dialogue, the new agreement introduces several improvement and new measures, including:
- Salary increases : 2023: (4 %), 2024 (3.85%), 2025 (2.85%), 2026 (2.85%), 2027 (2.50%)
- A 12-month pilot project of a compressed four-and-a-half-day work week
“This new agreement reflects the Town’s commitment to supporting its employees and marks an important milestone in fostering a motivating and cooperative work environment”, declared Beny Masella, mayor of the Town of Montreal West.
The tentative agreement was endorsed by union members last June and subsequently ratified by Town Council at the June 30, 2025 meeting. The Town of Montreal West wishes to thank everyone involved in these negotiations, which led to an agreement that benefits all parties.
