Hazardous Household Waste (HHW) is post-consumer waste that poses a threat to public health and the environment. This category includes paint, paint cans, batteries, aerosol cans, medication, vehicle batteries, fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent bulbs, spent propane canisters, chemicals, and electronic products (e-waste).

The Town has an Electrobac in the entrance of the Sports and Recreation Centre located at 220 Bedbrook Ave to offer you a convenient location to recycle your old, small, electronics.
The Electrobac accepts a wide variety of small electronic devices including cell phones, cameras, MP3 players, ink cartridges, peripherals, headphones and chargers among many others. To see a complete list of recyclable items, visit www.electrobac.com.
Household hazardous waste collection is available only to individuals living on the island of Montreal. Contractors and industries must deal with private firms specialized in the recovery of hazardous waste.
