The project represents a total investment of $39.2 million and was carried out by the Town of Montreal West with the support from the Ministry of Education in the amount of $ 10,045,381 through the Financial Assistance Program for Recreational and Sports Infrastructures (PAFIRS). This program aims to support the presence of quality sport and recreation infrastructures in all regions of Quebec and to increase access to these infrastructures for the population. Funding was also received from Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada in the amount of $6,278,363.50 under the Investing in Canada plan, stemming from the Integrated Bilateral Agreement between federal and provincial governments.
Additional funding in the amount of $2 million was provided by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund, an endowment created by the Government of Canada.
Furthermore, as of February 2026, the fundraising campaign for the Sports and Recreation Centre has raised 2.4 million in commitments, with $1.77 already collected. For more information on the Fundraising Campaign.
