{"id":92388,"date":"2025-06-20T13:19:56","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T17:19:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/montreal-west.ca\/?p=92388"},"modified":"2025-06-20T13:19:57","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T17:19:57","slug":"heat-wave-warning-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/montreal-ouest.ca\/en\/heat-wave-warning-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Heat wave warning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MailCompose\">With the\u00a0heatwave expected to hit Montreal next week, we would like to remind our residents to stay safe and cool with these\u00a0<\/span><a id=\"OWA85efc198-156c-8086-7252-6b0d6694c027\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\"  href=\"https:\/\/montreal.ca\/en\/articles\/tips-to-follow-during-heat-wave-5120\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">tips<\/a>:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Drink plenty of water before you feel thirsty.<\/li>\n<li>Spend a few hours each day in an air-conditioned or cool location.<\/li>\n<li>Take a shower or bath, or cool yourself with a wet towel.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce physical activity.<\/li>\n<li>Wear light-colored clothing.<\/li>\n<li>Keep in touch with your family and friends.<\/li>\n<li>Close windows, curtains, and blinds when the sun is at its peak.<\/li>\n<li>Use\u00a0heat-generating appliances (stove, oven, dryer, television, lights, etc.) as little as possible.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid consuming\u00a0alcoholic, caffeinated, or very sugary drinks, as they can cause dehydration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Residents of all ages can use the\u00a0<a id=\"OWAec8aee2e-cfc2-73ea-8483-163f5294fe15\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\"  href=\"https:\/\/montreal-west.ca\/en\/recreation\/facilities-parks\/splash-pads\/\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">splash pads<\/a>, here are the schedules:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">Davies Park: 7 a.m. &#8211; 9\u00a0p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">Strathearn Park: 7 a.m. &#8211; 10 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">Rugby Park: 7 a.m. &#8211; 10 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the\u00a0heatwave expected to hit Montreal next week, we would like to remind our residents to stay safe and cool with these\u00a0tips: Drink plenty of water before you feel thirsty.
