This Remembrance Day, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have served and continue to serve our country in the pursuit of peace. The Town of Montreal West shares deep ties with this legacy of remembrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each year, Dr. Drummond leads the Walk to Remember, guiding groups of people through the Town to the homes of the fallen soldiers, preserving their stories for future generations. On November 9, Minister of Veterans Affairs, Ginette Petitpas Taylor, along with 60 others, joined the walk, paying tribute to their bravery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The walk will be conducted in English, and up to 30 participants are expected depending on the weather.\n\nSeveral other commemorative events are planned, beginning in early November with placards displaying the photos and names of Veterans in front of the homes where they once lived. Similar banners will be placed on lamp posts along the main street. On November 6, David O'Keefe will deliver a lecture on the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
