{"id":69315,"date":"2023-11-14T12:02:59","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T16:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/montreal-west.ca\/?p=69315"},"modified":"2023-11-14T14:10:31","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T18:10:31","slug":"holiday-train-road-closures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/montreal-ouest.ca\/en\/holiday-train-road-closures\/","title":{"rendered":"Holiday Train Road Closures"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The CPKC holiday train is coming to town on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 6:45 p.m. with live musical performances by Seaforth and Kiesza.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Please note the following important road closures:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The level crossing at the intersection of Westminster and Sherbrooke will be completely closed to traffic for a period of <strong>60 minutes<\/strong> between <strong>6:45 p.m <\/strong>and<strong> 7:45 p.m<\/strong>. A detour will be possible via the Elmhurst level crossing at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Broughton between Westminster and Connaught will be completely closed between<strong> 3 p.m <\/strong>and<strong> 9 p.m<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Both Ballantyne and Brock south between Avon and Broughton will be designated for \u201clocal circulation only\u201d between <strong>3 p.m and 9 p.m.<\/strong> Public security and police officers will be restricting access between <strong>6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The above street closures will be necessary to ensure the safety of spectators.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the closing of the Westminster level crossing from 6:45 p.m to 7:45 p.m, police will be stationed at the intersection of Avon and Westminster in order to direct traffic. For safety reasons, the police officers will <u>not allow any vehicles to access Westminster northbound<\/u>, with the exception of emergency vehicles. <strong>As a result, there won&#8217;t be inbound access to Easton or Ainslie for 60 minutes during the event. However, vehicles will be able to exit via Ainslie and access Avon at all times during the event.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please plan any trips according to the information provided above.<\/p>\n<p>If you
