We&#8217;d like to thank the wonderful parade and park volunteers for their contribution towards this event.<\/p>\n<p>Join us for some family fun !<\/p>\n<p><em>In case of rain, the event will be postponed to July 2 (no parade nor contests)<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>\u00a03 p.m. Contests at Davies Park<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Blinged up bikes<\/li>\n<li>Snazy Strollers<\/li>\n<li>Pimped-up pets<\/li>\n<li>Wild Wheelchairs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>3:30 p.m. Parade<\/h3>\n<p>The parade starts at 3:30 p.m. at the corner of Ainslie and Fenwick and makes its way up Westminster to Northview before turning down Strathearn to end at Strathearn Park. Westminster Avenue will be completely closed for the duration of the parade. <a href=\"https:\/\/montreal-west.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/canada-day-2022-parade-route.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Check out the parade route<\/u><\/a> and plan your trips accordingly.\u00a0With limited police resources to secure the area and block off Westminster avenue, the parade itinerary is slightly different this year and will not be going over the hump.<\/p>\n<h3>4:30 p.m.\u00a0 Strathearn Park festivities begin<\/h3>\n<p>Face painting, petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables, BBQ, beer &amp; drinks<\/p>\n<p><em>To ensure a safe environment for all, glass bottles are forbidden in the park.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Look for performers in the park:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Les Chasseurs de R\u00eaves<\/li>\n<li><em>P\u00e9riple en Tourn\u00e9e<\/em> by Laurette &amp; Arlette presented as part of the Conseil des arts en tourn\u00e9e<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>On stage<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 :45 p.m.\u00a0 Dave Turner and The Concords<\/li>\n<li>4 :30 p.m.\u00a0Fundamentals Band<\/li>\n<li>5 :30 p.m. Dancers Groupe Folklorique Nadexieli\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>6 p.m.\u00a0Fundamentals Band<\/li>\n<li>6:45 p.m. Dancers Groupe Folklorique Nadexieli\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>7:10 p.m. Fundamentals Band<\/li>\n<li>8 p.m. Address by Council\/O\u2019Canada by Lauren Small-Pennefather\/Canada Day cake<\/li>\n<li>8:10 p.m. Fundamentals Band<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Times and activities are subject to change<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>10 p.m.\u00a0Fireworks at Hodgson Field<\/h3>\n<p>The day ends with a beautiful fireworks show at 10 p.m. at Hodgson Field.
