In order to honour the memory of the victims of COVID\u201119, the Gouvernement du Qu\u00e9bec is organizing a national day of remembrance, to be held on March\u00a011, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>This day will give the Qu\u00e9bec population a chance to take some time out and to pay tribute to the victims of COVID\u201119, as well as to their family and friends. It will also be an opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable support of all the occupational groups and members of civil society who are on the front lines to fight against COVID\u201119.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning in the morning, a national half-masting of the flag of Qu\u00e9bec will be observed at all public buildings of the government, of municipalities and of Qu\u00e9bec government offices abroad.<\/p>\n<p>A ceremony will take place, between 12:00\u00a0noon and 1:00\u00a0p.m., in the forecourt of the Parliament Building.<\/p>\n<p>At 1:00\u00a0p.m., the entire population of Qu\u00e9bec will be asked to observe a minute of silence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\">quebec.ca<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The COVID\u201119 pandemic will remain graven in the history of Qu\u00e9bec, and will leave a huge scar in the lives of many citizens.
