As of the Government’s announcement on the 15th of October, children will be allowed to go trick-or-treating\u00a0this year – but with some conditions. The Town invites all residents to carefully\u00a0follow public regulations in place<\/a> for Montreal West children to enjoy a safe Halloween! Please continue to stay vigilant.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Due to this exceptional situation, the Town will also be bringing Halloweek to your households! We have planned alternative activities for which you won\u2019t need to leave your house.\u00a0This will be a Halloween to remember, all while ensuring physical distancing!<\/p>\n

Contests and prizes<\/h2>\n

Have some skele-fun participating in our contests!<\/p>\n

House decorating:<\/strong> Gather up the family and get to decorating! Let\u2019s get into the Halloween spirit and make our houses look fang-tastic.<\/p>\n

Pet costumes:<\/strong> Let\u2019s not forget about our furry friends! Dress them up in your most fa-boo-lous costumes.<\/p>\n

Pumpkin decorations: <\/strong>Last but certainly not least, what\u2019s Halloween without Jack-O-Lanterns! Decorate the best you can and give your neighbors pumpkin to talk about!<\/p>\n

Pumpkin Pie Recipe<\/strong><\/a>: Have fun baking Ricardo\u2019s famous pumpkin pie and let us know how much you love it. Bone appetite!<\/p>\n

Make your own scarecrow<\/strong><\/a>: Pick from a variety of different scarecrow crafts and get started!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Spooky Halloween Movie Marathon: <\/strong>Make a fort or get comfortable on the couch and get sit down to watch some Halloween favorites. Our list this year includes: Hocus Pocus, The Addams Family, HalloweenTown, Casper, Hotel Transylvania, Monsters Inc, Shrek, and anything Scooby-Doo. Which one is your favorite?<\/p>\n

Halloween Slime<\/a>: <\/strong>Follow the recipe to create the perfect Halloween Slime!<\/p>\n

Halloween Home Dance Party: <\/strong>Get dressed up and ready to boogie! Invite friends and family to your virtual get together and show off your favorite costumes. If you want to spice things up, you can even add a freeze dance competition! Some of our favorite songs include the Monster Mash, Time Warp, Ghostbuster or anything from the Descendants!<\/p>\n

Mystery Cauldron<\/a>: <\/strong>Get searching and collect some spooky ingredients like noses, witch hair, worms, spider legs and anything else you can find! Place them in a box and see if your little investigators can guess what they are.<\/p>\n

Ghost Sack Race: <\/strong>Find old pillow cases or potato sacks and draw the scariest (or silliest) ghost face on the front. Then place all participants facing the finish line. On go, each person starts hopping and using their best ghost sound until they react the end.<\/p>\n

Pin the Hat on the Witch: <\/strong>A fun spin on the classic Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Get crafty and draw your best witch on a broomstick and multiple black hats. Blindfold each participant and see who can get their hat the closest to the witch\u2019s head.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Day of the Dead\/ Dia de Muertos – Crafts<\/a>: <\/strong>Get inspired by these decorations on the theme Day of the Dead.<\/p>\n
