The Town has responsibility for the facilities used while the CRA has responsibility for the registration, programming and implementation of activities. The CSC advises, assists and makes recommendations to this Councillor on matters pertaining to cultural and recreational needs and activities in the Town. As a non-profit organization, the CSC searches and applies for grants and then appoints personnel to administer the provincial and federal grants \u00a0made available to the community.<\/p><p>This group examines financial reports of cultural and recreational groups of the Town who receive funding to recommend their continued support. Their decision is passed on to the Town Council for consideration.<\/p><h2>Members of the CSC<\/h2><p>All members must be residents of the Town and include :<\/p><ul><li>the Mayor of the Town, who is an honorary member,<\/li><li>the Councillor of Recreation and Cultural Services,<\/li><li>the Director of Recreation and Cultural Services.<\/li><\/ul><p>The voting members include :<\/p><ul><li>an active representative of the senior community,<\/li><li>a designated representative of the Civic Recreation Association,<\/li><li>a designated representative of the Informer,<\/li><li>a designated representative of parents with young children,<\/li><li>a designated representative of the youth of the Town,<\/li><li>five persons appointed taking into consideration the three distinct sections of the Town.<\/li><\/ul><p>Meetings are held twice a year or more frequently as required. Guiding offers the widest range of activities of any extracurricular activity, with opportunities to explore the arts, sciences, outdoor challenges, global awareness and so much more through enriching experiences that will stay with them for a lifetime. The Rotary Club of Montreal Westward has women and men from all backgrounds; some working, some retired, some semi-retired.\u00a0Our members are: Piano Refurbisher&#8217;s, Pharmacists, Medical Doctors, Homemakers, Funeral Directors, Real Estate Agents, Aeronautical\u00a0Engineers, Certified Financial Planners, Certified Financial Analysts, (we even have a lawyer or two), Management Consultants, a Psychologist, a Notary, Academics and Bankers. Each section responds to the needs of a particular age group. All sections are open to both boys and girls.<\/p><p>New leaders always welcome!<\/p><h2>Registration<\/h2><p>Registration is ongoing. Our group is officially called 1st Montreal West Scout Group. We are part of the Quebec Council, and Stoney Point Area.
