Structural deterioration, air\u2011quality concerns, and significant accessibility limitations made it increasingly difficult to meet modern safety standards and community expectations.<\/p><p>These aging facilities could no longer support current recreational needs or provide the level of service our residents deserve. For these reasons, the buildings were demolished and rebuilt on the same site, creating a modern, accessible, and sustainable facility designed to support the community\u2019s health, well\u2011being, and quality of life for decades to come.<\/p><p>Construction began in September 2023 with the demolition of the existing infrastructure and was completed in January 2026.<\/p><p>For details on The Town is working closely with the contractor in charge of the work to minimize the impact on the community as much as possible.
