Three routes \u2013 the Frances, the Portuguese and the Invernio have seen me. Set off, walking poles in my hands and trail runners on my feet. This, my passion of old age has led me to be physically active, learn a new language, Spanish, and to host in a pilgrim inn three times. I went alone and made firm friends on the trails of this ancient pilgrimage route. My presentation will include beautiful slides and a discussion of some of the challenges and many of the rewards of just walking, walking as so many thousands of others have done over the centuries.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s no beach holiday, cruise or spa but it healed me, helped me, inspired me and rewarded me.
