It is a day of action to encourage people to make more climate-friendly choices for a future without air pollution, which significantly contributes to the ongoing climate changes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every year on September 21st, people around the world participate in activities aimed at reducing carbon and GHG emissions. Zero Emissions Day is a great reminder that we all have a part to play in protecting our planet and towards building a more sustainable future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here are some tips on how you can take part, every action, no matter how big or small, counts!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bike to your destination instead of using the car<\/li>\n<li>Unplug non-essential devices and electronics when you\u2019re not using them, like phone chargers.<\/li>\n<li>Use minimal lights in your home, or better yet, turn off all lights and electronics for a few hours during the day. You can opt for a book or play a board game instead!<\/li>\n<li>Shop locally and sustainably. A great way to reduce your carbon footprint is by choosing more plant-based options and purchasing locally-grown or made products.\n<ul>\n<li>Better yet, you can make it a no-spend day and purchase nothing new.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ditch single-use plastics!
